Democracy - of the people by the people

Idea: One person - one vote
No more representatives.  Senate and congress responsible to draft understandable laws with one line item per law and inform public of pros and cons.  Public then votes - or not.  Lack of interest means it didn't pass.  If votes are to be bought - let the lobbyist send us money - instead of these lousy politcal mailers I keep getting.  If they aren't going to do what they promise - then let us take a shot - can't do too much worse and at least we'll  only  have ourselves to blame.  Government no longer responsive to us - just big money old boy network.

Competitive Government

Idea: The problem with public services is cost overrun and rampant fraud.

The problem with privatized services is sacrifice of quality to maximize profit.

In cases where public services are desired, establish 2 separate government entities to provide the same service. Their budgets each year will be based on quantity and quality of service. Let the best service get the funding.
